How to create a Solana meme coin
You can create a Solana meme coin in about a minute without writing code. You need a Solana wallet, about 0.205 SOL and a logo. Here is the complete process.
What you need
- A Solana wallet such as Phantom or Solflare
- About 0.205 SOL: 0.2 SOL fee plus about 0.005 SOL of network costs
- A logo if you have one (optional, square PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF; 512 × 512 pixels is ideal)
- A name and a ticker
1. Choose a name and a ticker
The name is shown in wallets (up to 32 characters). The ticker is the short symbol traders type, usually 3 to 6 capital letters. Search DexScreener or Birdeye first: a ticker that is already famous makes your token look like a copy.
2. Prepare the logo
Wallets show logos as tiny circles. Use a square image with a bold subject, high contrast and no small text. MemeKiln crops it to a square, resizes it to 512 × 512 pixels and removes hidden photo data before uploading.
3. Pick the supply and decimals
